Whitehall and Port Henry, N.Y. – Ashley A. Blackwell, 31, currently residing in Port Henry, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2014 at the Moses Ludington Hospital Emergency Department in Ticonderoga.
She was born on November 27, 1982 in Glens Falls, N.Y. the daughter of Richard Belden and his wife Robin of Granville, N.Y. and Jenny Pugh of Miami, Fl.
Ashley left the area many years ago and settled in Missouri. She met the love of her life, Kenneth D. Blackwell and on March 14, 2008 they were united in marriage.
She and her family returned to the area two years ago and settled in Port Henry. She enjoyed spending precious time with her father and his wife, and her extended family. She also enjoyed cooking, 4 wheeling, fishing, and all of the simple joys of life.
Ashley was a loving wife and mother. She gave unselfishly of herself. If there was a friend or neighbor in need, she was always there to assist them. When her children outgrew their clothing, she made sure that those who were less fortunate benefited with them. Her most important time was spent caring for the needs of her husband and their children for whom she adored immensely.
She is predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Doris Belden, and her maternal grandparents, Alan and Jean Rozell.
Survivors include her parents, Richard Belden and his wife Robin of Granville, and Jenny Pugh of Miami, FL., her loving husband, Kenneth D. Blackwell of Port Henry, N.Y., her three adored children, Anisha Belden, Cordè Belden and Nevaeh Blackwell all of Port Henry, two sisters, Kristen Jones of St. Joe, Missouri, and Amanda Downum of Joplin, Missouri, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, her grandfather, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway, Whitehall with Reverend Rendell Torres, pastor of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church of Whitehall officiating
Friends may call on the family from 1:00 pm until the time of the services at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, Christmas Assistance Program, 37 Broad Street, Glens Falls, N.Y. 12801.
