Whitehall – Bonnie A. Brown, 64, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 with her loving family by her side at The Orchard Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre in Granville following a brief illness.
She was born on February 18, 1952 in Glens Falls, the daughter of the late Glen M. Brown and Ann G. (Burke) Brown of Queensbury, N.Y.
Bonnie was a graduate of Whitehall High School, "Class of 1970. She continued her education and received her degree as a licensed practical nurse.
She was previously employed for Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls
and Scott Paper Company in Fort Edward until an injury forced her to retire.
She was a member of Slate Valley Chapter #122, Order of the Eastern Star of the State of New York in Granville. She was a former member and emergency medical technician of Skenesborough Emergency Squad of Whitehall.
Bonnie enjoyed fishing, traveling to the local casinos. She especially enjoyed the time that she spent with her family including her grandchildren and her special friends.
Survivors besides her mother include her two children, Angela Bascue of Hudson Falls, N.Y. and Kristian Bascue and his companion Tanya Blair of Poultney, Vt. her sister, Marilyn Bascue and her husband Alan of Clemons, N.Y. her two brothers, Glenn Brown and his partner Michael Thompson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Larry Brown and his partner Iris Hall of South Glens Falls, N.Y. She is also survived by her four granddaughters: Ciayera and Krisandra Greenough of Troy, N.Y. and Alexandra and Michaela Bascue of Newkirk, Ok., her uncle Paul Brown and his wife Lyette Brown of Santa Barbara, Ca., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by two special and dear friends, Carol Rocque and Cheryl Robarge of Whitehall.
The family would like to especially thank the staff of the Orchard Nursing Home for the care and love that they gave to Bonnie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Skene Street, Whitehall, with Reverend Rendell Torres, pastor officiating.
Friends and family may call from 6 pm to 9 pm on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway, Whitehall, N.Y.
