Whitehall, N.Y.  - Corrine M. Lampkins, 95, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born on August 5, 1930 in Whitehall, the daughter of immigrant parents, Ralph Sparano and Rose M. (Caruso) Sparano.

Corrine attended Whitehall High School, "Class of 1947".

Corrine met and married the love of her life, Malcolm C. Lampkins. They celebrated 50  years of marriage at the time of his death on April 24, 2001.

She was a lifetime communicant of Our Lady of Angels Church in Whitehall.  Following their closure, Corrine graciously accepted membership as a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church of Whitehall.   She was a member of Court McLoughlin #596, Catholic Daughters of America, Whitehall chapter.  She was also very active for the Whitehall Hospital Guild and the Whitehall Senior Citizens.

Corrine enjoyed gardening, reading at the Whitehall Library, bowling for many years at the Whitehall Elks Lodge, and playing bingo, but one of her favorite activities was traveling to Atlantic City and the Saratoga Casino with her friends.

She was formerly employed with the Troy Savings Bank in Whitehall, where she enjoyed welcoming local customers each and every day.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her son John D. Lampkins, her daughter-in-law, Sally Lampkins, her brother, John Sparano and his wife Rose and her sister, Antionette DaMico.

Survivors include her two sons, Thomas M. Lampkins and his wife Donna of Ocala, Fl., and David W. Lampkins of Whitehall, and her daughter-in-law, Tammy Lampkins of Glens Falls. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Lampkins of Whitehall, Casie Lampkins of Whitehall, Michael Lampkins of Fair Haven, Vt., Katherine Lampkins and Addison Lampkins of Glens Falls, as well as by her sister-in-law, Margaret Sparano and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cat Oreo who she loved dearly.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Skene Street, Whitehall, with the Reverend Zachariah Chichester, pastor officiating.  Friends and family may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

A reception will follow at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in the Parish  hall.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Corrine's memory to either the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
