Cambridge, N.Y.  -  Diane Marie Briggs, 69, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Diane was born in Granville, N.Y. on October 11, 1954, the daughter of the late Nelson W. Briggs and Edna E. (Morehouse) Briggs of Granville

Diane was a graduate of Granville High School, Class of 1973.

She was an avid gardener enjoying the fruits of her labor with her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed the many feline cats that she had over the years.  She was a wonderful seamstress and housekeeper.  She also enjoyed reading, watching her soap operas on television, putting together puzzles, and working on word puzzles.

She is predeceased by her father, Nelson W. Briggs.

Survivors include her mother, Edna E. Briggs of Granville, her brother, Richard (Darlene) Briggs of North Petersburg, N.Y., her three sisters, Patricia (Gary) Douglas of Granville, Kathleen (Jack) Renadette of Canton, N.Y. and Ruth Briggs of Cambridge, 10 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews and her daughter, Michelle LaGoy of Glens Falls

At the family's request, a private service was held at the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 20 Broadway, Whitehall, N.Y. with Reverend Kevin Gebo, pastor of the Grace Baptist Church of Whitehall officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family requests that in Diane's memory, contributions may be made in her name to the Cambridge Food Pantry, 59 S. Park Street, Cambridge, N.Y.  12816.
