Guy I. Goodness, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Slate Valley Nursing Home in Granville, NY.

He was born April 29, 1955, in Glens Falls NY to Irving and Maxine (Cowles) Goodness.

He attended Lake Luzerne high school and went on to serve briefly in the US Army. Guy worked in the maintenance and security fields. He enjoyed hunting, shooting his guns, CB radios, stereo equipment, listing to classic rock and spending time with his cat Cleo.

Guy leaves behind his four sons and their families; Derick (Audra) Goodness, Daniel (Abbie) Goodness, and their mother, Ethel Beaty, Christopher (Jessica) Goodness, Nicholas Goodness, and their mother, Tammy McKittrick Fitzgerald. Four grandchildren, Jazmine Goodness, Gabriel Goodness, Haylee Goodness, Christopher Goodness (deceased). His two sisters Sally (Walt) Everetts, Susan (Don, deceased) Monica, his Uncle Ned Cook and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Guy's request there will be no public calling hours. A celebration of life will be held for family at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Slate Valley Nursing home and High Peaks Hospice for the comfort and care they provided to Guy. In leu of flowers donations may be made in Guys name to the Christopher Goodness Strong Scholarship fund at the Glens Falls National Bank.
