Whitehall - Jeanine Mae Winn passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Slate Valley Center, Granville, N.Y., after a long illness.
She was born July 15,1957 in Glens Falls, N.Y., the daughter of Thomas D. Winn and Jean M. Toben (Winn).
Jeanine attended Whitehall Central School System, graduating with honors. During High School she was the organist at The First Presbyterian Church of Whitehall.
Jeanine was crowned as Whitehall's Jr. Miss in 1975.
Jeanine attended SUNY Albany and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then graduated from St. Rose College in Albany, N.Y. with a master's degree in education.
Jeanine worked for Easter Seals in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. In Special Education, her area of expertise was teaching children to read. She retired from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale with a distinction of success in remedial reading.
Jeanine is survived by her sister Liza (Winn) Gregg and her brother-in-law Jeffrey Gregg of Raleigh, N.C. and several extended family members in the local area.
A graveside service will be held in the summer of 2025 at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall. Details to be announced.
