Whitehall – June A. Trombley, 84, of Whitehall, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Glens Falls Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born on December 9, 1930, in West Rutland, VT, the daughter of Henry and Sophronia (Senical) Rodd.
June was a communicant and a devout member, attending mass daily, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church of Whitehall.
She was previously employed for various clothing manufacturing companies in Whitehall, NY, and Poultney, VT, as a seamstress.
June was united in marriage to John H. Trombley for many years before his death on July 25, 2002.
June had many interests in her life including gardening, camping, her pets, feeding the birds in her yard and the many trips that she took to Maine with her family and her sister Lucille. Of these many interests, her family was the most important part of her life.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Philip T. Bascue, her second husband, Joseph R. DeLorme, her late husband, John H. Trombley, her son, Philip D. Bascue, her brother, Robert Rodd, and her sister, Dorothy Cenate.
Survivors include her two sons, Alan C. Bascue and his wife Marilyn of Dresden, NY, Randy J. DeLorme and his wife Jo Ann of Clemons, NY, her two sisters, Lorraine Brooks and Lucille Gordon of Whitehall, NY, her grandchildren: Angela Bascue of St. Albans, VT, and her twin daughters, Ciayera and Krisandra Greenough of Troy, NY; Kristian Bascue and his companion, Tanya Blair, of Poultney, VT, and his twin daughters, Michaela and Alexandra Bascue, of Newkirk, OK; Craig Bascue and his wife Pamela and their two children, Codie and Miranda Bascue, of Dresden, NY; Chad Bascue and his wife, Mary, of Hudson Falls, NY; Jessica DeLorme of Bedford, PA, Georgette Hassan of Clemons, NY, and Malia DeLorme and Joseph DeLorme of Hampton, NY. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bascue-Brown of Whitehall, NY, her special companion her Pug "Max" and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Skene Street, Whitehall, NY, with Reverend Rendell Torres, pastor officiating. A Rite of Committal will be held in the spring in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Whitehall, NY.
Friends may call on the family from 6 to 9 pm on Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway, Whitehall, NY.
Following the services on Tuesday, the family invites friends to a reception at the Whitehall Athletic Club (formerly Whitehall Armory), 62 Poultney Street, Whitehall, NY, to continue the celebration of June's life.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in June's memory to Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 9 Wheeler Ave, Whitehall, NY 12887.
