Lila Winters Obituary
Gansevoort, N.Y. – Lila E. Winters, 57, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2021 at her residence in Gansevoort with her mother by her side following a long illness with diabetes.
She was born on November 4, 1963 in Glens Falls, N.Y. the daughter of the late Raymond Winters and Janice (Benjamin) Winters of Gansevoort.
Lila lived life and died on her own terms. She spent her entire life living and sharing many life’s experiences with her sister Lori. She was an avid N.Y. Met’s and Tennessee Titans fan, enjoyed many arts and crafts projects, loved to read and listen to audio books, and her many pets throughout the years but most of all was the enjoyment she had spending time with her loving family.
She is predeceased by her father Raymond Winters.
Survivors include her mother, Janice Winters of Gansevoort, her brothers, Raymond Winters and his wife Joellen of Granville, Jason Winters of Whitehall, her three sisters, Patricia Winters of Whitehall, Pamela Winters and her partner Jack Trombley of Whitehall and Lori Winters of Gansevoort. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her extended family and friends include Leslie C., Christine O., Kim C., Jody and Almer M. Kim C. and Misty W.
A committal service will be held on June 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Greenmount Cemetery, Whitehall with Reverend Sandra Spaulding, pastor of the Baptist Church of Cossayuna.
Following the committal service, the family invites everyone to join them to continue the celebration of Lila’s life at the home of her sister, Pamela Winters at 7 Pauline, Street, Whitehall.
