Rita M. (Darmetko) Buecha

Rita M. Buechs, who usually went by (Sue) 72, of Lake George, died Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her family, including her sons, grandchildren, her brother Chris Darmetko, and Christine Boychuk, who was a good friend, and like a sister to her. Rita was born  inTroy, New York, to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Darmetko. She worked as a switchboard operator at the Anna Lee Nursing Home, and owned the S & J Motel  in Lake George, for over twenty years. Rita    was a loving wife and mother. She also adored her grandchildren, and her beloved dog Yogi. Rita always stayed very close to the boys’ father, Joseph Buechs, Jr., who died in 2016. She is survived by her three sons, Joseph and Jacob Buechs, both of East Greenbush and Brian (Patricia) Buechs of Lake Luzerne. Rita, also known as, "Grammy," is survived by her seven grandchildren: Jacob, Hayley, Joshua, Sierra, Brian, Piper and Riley. The family would like to thank Christine Boychuk for all of her support and sacrifices over the past couple years, giving Rita special care   throughout her illness. Rita was very adamant about not having services, however the family will celebrate her life, and all the love she gave, at a later time.
