Robert A. Young

Robert A. Young, age 61, passed away peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Robert was born on July 18, 1961, in Granville, NY, son of Donald Sr. and Mildred (Bundock). As a boy and young man, he worked on the family apple orchard in North Hebron, NY. Rob found his calling when he went to work in construction for Daniel Haltermann, building several homes in the area. After a few years learning from Dan, Rob started his own business, Young Builders, and built his family home in the Hebron hills. Rob was very proud of his hard work ethic and instilled this in his three sons, always striving for perfection. Rob was most proud when he was coaching his boys in sports, especially Granville Panthers Football. Working right up to his last days, Rob completed his 30-year dream of building a large rock wall at his home with the help of his John Deere tractor.

Left to cherish Rob’s memory are his wife, Christina (Terrio), and their three sons: Marcus, Evan and his wife, Taylor, and Jacob. Rob is survived by seven siblings: Donald Jr. (Ann), Allen (Gloria), Susan (Dick), Richard (Peggy), Nancy (Bob), Thomas (Becky) and Karen (Dave), along with several nieces and nephews and their families, a brother-in-law, Jim Terrio (Kathy), and his beloved mother-in-law, Rosalia Terrio.

Robert’s family wishes to thank the Glens Falls Hospital ICU staff, the New York-Presbyterian Lung Transplant Program, and the “Two Marks” for always checking in. Any contributions to honor Robert’s memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as the kids gave him so much strength and inspiration.

At the family’s request there will be no calling hours or services.
